Born and raised in Albany, New York, Anthony Cavaleri grew up in a close-knit Italian family that ran the beloved Cavaleri’s Italian Family Restaurant, now celebrating its 50th year. After moving to New York City in 1988, Anthony transitioned from competitive bodybuilding to a successful acting career, landing roles in The Sopranos, Law & Order, Elf, and Analyze This. His work spans television, film, and modeling, including appearances on Saturday Night Live and campaigns for Ferragamo and Campbell’s Soup. Known for his professionalism, range, and authentic presence, Anthony brings every character to life, from blue-collar grit to commanding white-collar authority.
Aside from acting, Anthony received a Colombia University Law Degree and started a large scale charity called H.U.G.S USA, distributing clothing and supplies to the New York City homeless community. In addition to this, Anthony has partnered with musical groups and products on building the awareness of HUGS and raising funds for the cause.
Highlighting his Italian heritage, in connection with Cavaleri’s Family Italian Restaurant, Anthony is launching Cavaleri’s food for the soul sauce. Anthony’s deep devoution to the Italian community of New York as driven him to expand his career in various areas, something that gives his performances a depth understanding that is hard to come by naturally.
